The first question after "how do I open a store?" is "and how do I get my money?". Straight answer: there is no online payment gateway in Roowaj. It does not take the money on your behalf and does not pass it on to you.
That sounds like a gap until you look at how your customer in Iraq actually pays.
How your customer pays today
Most chat selling in Iraq is settled one of two ways: cash on delivery, or a direct transfer the two of you agree on. A customer used to paying at the door does not change that habit because your shop became a website, and the method that suits them is the one that closes the sale.
So Roowaj leaves the payment method to you and your customer, and takes over the part that actually goes missing.
The part that actually goes missing: who paid and who did not
When orders live in messages, the payment record lives in your head or in a notebook. The week thirty orders arrive is the week you lose track of who settled and who promised to.
In Roowaj every order carries a clear payment state. When the money reaches you, you open the order and mark it paid, and it stays written down. Whenever you want to know who still owes you, the answer is in front of you instead of in your memory.
The four order stages
Alongside the payment state, an order moves through four stages you control:
The stage and the payment state are independent of each other, deliberately: a completed order can still be unpaid, and an order paid up front can still be out for delivery. That is how it really works, so there is no sense in the platform forcing you to simplify it.
What about delivery?
Roowaj does not deliver orders. Delivery stays with your courier or the company you already use. What Roowaj adds is that the address and phone number arrive written out in full with every order — exactly the part that goes missing in chat, when the customer sends their address in a message separate from the order, or never sends it at all.
When this does not suit you
If your business needs the customer to pay by card before you ship — because you sell outside Iraq, say, or because too many of your deliveries get refused at the door — then card payment is a genuine requirement for you, and Roowaj does not offer it today. Better to know now.
But if your customers pay cash on delivery as they always have, you lose nothing, and you gain a record you did not have.
