Five ways perfume and oud sellers use Roowaj to sell over Instagram and WhatsApp

Perfume and oud sellers on Roowaj hit a very particular kind of message overload: the same three questions on repeat — "is this the original?", "what size do you have?", and "what does it smell like?" — arriving one DM at a time, often from ten different customers in the same afternoon before a single order gets confirmed.

The first thing most fragrance sellers set up is size as a structured option — 30ml, 50ml, 100ml, whichever line they carry — each with its own price. A customer picks the size themselves on the product page instead of asking "how much for the big one" and waiting for a reply.

The second is stock that actually stops selling once it's gone. A limited batch of a popular oud can't be promised to more customers than exist in the bottle — the product page reflects the real count, so a seller isn't stuck apologizing to whoever ordered last.

The third is putting the actual fragrance description — notes, longevity, who it suits — on the product itself, once, instead of typing it out fresh in every single DM that opens with "what does this one smell like?"

The fourth is sets and gift bundles. An order for a travel set or a paired oud-and-oil gift arrives as one itemized line per item, not a guess at what "the gift one" meant three messages ago.

The fifth, and the one regulars notice most: a customer who bought a 50ml bottle two months ago and wants a refill can reorder straight from their order history — same scent, same size — instead of describing it from memory.

None of this changes how a perfume shop actually gets found — a scroll-stopping bottle shot in a reel still does that job. What changes is that by the time an order reaches the seller, the size, the scent, and the price are already settled, not still being asked about mid-conversation.
