It's WhatsApp's official click-to-chat format: https://wa.me/ followed by your number in international format. Opening it starts a chat with you without the customer saving your number first.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. wa.me links work with both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business, on phones and on desktop.

Why does my Iraqi number lose the leading 0?

International format drops the local trunk prefix. 0770 123 4567 becomes 964 770 123 4567 — that's correct and the link will open the right chat.

Do you store my number?
